Two people die and two sustain critical injuries after 3 vehicles collide on R562

Two people died and two others sustained critical injuries after 3 vehicles collided on the R562 in Country View Midrand Saterday afternoon at around 18h00. Details of the accident is still speculative, however one bakkie was towing another bakkie and when things went wrong and both slammed into the side of a Toyota Camry.

Paramedics and fireman worked for over an hour to free the wounded from the mangled wreckages. Sadly two of the patients died on scene due to the extensive injuries they had sustained.

The two critically injured patients was stabilized on scene and then transported to the Tembisa hospital for further treatment.
