A female driver miraculously escaped with only minor injuries when her car overturned and was trapped between the barriers and a heavy goods truck at about 14h30 this afternoon on the N1 South near the Ultra City. Exact details of the accident is still speculative, however it is believed that the lady had lost control in the wet weather, overturned and came to rest between the truck and the barriers.
Paramedics arrived on scene and were surprised to find that the patient had climbed out of the vehicle that was lying on its side. She was treated on scene and then transported to the Netcare Unitas hospital for further treatment.
