A 14 year old boy is in a critical condition after he was involved in a side impact accident at the intersection of Elgin and Soutpansberg roads this morning. Exact details of the accident is still a subject for police investigation, however the 14 year olds body absorbed enormous impact from the accident, resulting in suspected spinal injuries.
Fortunately Netcare 911 paramedics were on scene within minutes of receiving the call, emergency personnel worked fervently to stabilize the critically injured boy. Realizing the severity of the child’s injuries the Netcare 1 medical helicopter was called to airlift the patient to the charlotte Maxeke hospital for further medical treatment.
