A father died and his daughter was left with relatively serious injuries after the vehicle they were traveling in overturned several times. Details of the accident are still speculative, but it is believed that the farther and daughter was coming back from a cycle race when tragedy struck.
They were traveling in an easterly direction on the N17 and just before the Rondebult off ramp their vehicle overturned and came to rest several meters down the highway against a tree. When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene the father a male in his 40’s had tragically died as a result of his injuries. His 16 year old daughter was treated on scene and then transported to the Netcare Sunward park hospital for further treatment.
