A female passenger died and her male partner is in a critical condition after they were involved in an accident on the R 712 Clarence road in the Free State just after 22h00 on Thursday night. Although details of the accident are still a subject for police investigation, it is believed that the BMW was traveling along the R712 when the driver lost control of his vehicle and overturned.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the call but tragically the female occupant died in this horrific accident due to the extent of her injuries. The driver was in a critical condition and paramedics worked fervently to stabilize him, before he was transported to a hospital in Bethlehem for further medical care.
