This afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics raced to the scene of a tragic drowning in the Vereeniging area at around 17h20. Exact details are still speculative, but it is reported that the 43 year old slipped on the side of the pool, he hit his head and then fell into the water.
Paramedics arrived on scene and frantically tried to resuscitate the man, tragically all their effort was in vain and the patient was declared dead on scene.
