A 35 year old mother and a 3 year old child is in a critical condition after trying to negotiate the traffic at the intersection of Jeppe and Harrison streets this afternoon. They misjudged the speed of an oncoming bakkie and landed underneath the vehicle.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene, fire services had removed the vehicle off the patients. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the critically wounded mother and child, and then transported them to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for further treatment.
