37 people were injured, one critically so after the bus they were traveling in overturned on the N12 near Warrenton just after 11h00 this morning. Exact details of the accident is still a subject for police investigation, however it is reported that the bus driver lost control after a strong cross wind hit them.
The bus overturned several times and came to rest back on its wheels next to the roadway. One person was critically injured,6 sustained serious injuries and a further 30 passengers sustained minor injuries. Among them were 10 children.
Netcare 911 and provincial paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the wounded, before transporting them to a provincial hospital in Kimberly for further medical care.
