A family of three are in a critical condition after their car overturned on the N1 North just past New road at around 5pm this afternoon. Details of the accident are still speculative and a subject for police investigation, however the driver seems to have had lost control of the vehicle, collided into the barriers and then rolled several times. All three the occupants were ejected from the vehicle and laid spread out over a 100 meter section of the highway.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and after the initial triage found that all the patients were critically wounded. The Netcare 1 medical helicopter with a specialized trauma team on board was called in to assist in stabilizing the patients and then airlifted the 35 year old male to the Netcare Sunning hill hospital for further treatment.
Netcare 911 paramedics worked fervently to stabilize the critically injured mother and her 7 year old child before transporting them by ambulance to the Netcare Sunning hill hospital for further medical care.
