A motorcyclist was critically injured when he fell from his bike while rounding a bend on Ballito Drive Sunday morning. It is thought that a rear tyre blowout may have caused the man to lose control of the cycle.
The bloodied frame of the man was found at the roadside by Netcare911 Paramedics who responded to the scene. He sustained head, spinal and chest trauma, as well as multiple limb fractures.
He was treated and stabilised by Netcare911 Paramedics at the scene before he was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further care.
His condition remains critical.
