A three-year-old boy, of Kelso, south of Durban, is in a critical but stable condition in the Netcare St Augustine’s after a snake bite at the weekend.
It is alleged that the boy had been riding his bicycle when had fallen onto a snake, thought to be either a Cobra or Puff Adder. The child was rushed to the Netcare Kingsway Hospital and has since been transferred by Netcare911 ambulance to the Durban facility.
