A man in his 20’s died in a snarl-up on the R21 in the Nellmapius district at around 02h00 this morning. Exact details of the accident will still be determined by the SAPs,however it is believed that two young men were traveling from Pretoria to Kempton Park when they collided into the back of a Nissan 4 x 4 towing a trailer.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene to find absolute carnage. One man sustained life threatening injuries, while the four occupants from the Nissan were in a serious condition – one of them a 4 year old little girl. The driver of the VW miraculously escaped from the mangled wreckage with only minor injuries.
Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the critically injured man and after resuscitating him for nearly an hour he tragically died due to the nature of his injuries. After all the seriously injured patients were stabilise on scene they were transported to the Tembisa hospital for further treatment.The driver from the VW was transported to the Netcare Pretoria East hospital where he received further medical care .
