12 people were injured in a snarl-up at the intersection of Agnes and Rooikrans roads in the Bloubosrand area at around 15h00 this afternoon. Exact details of the accident remains a subject for police investigation, however the car with twelve people on board was on their way to church when it collided head-on with a bakkie .
Netcare 911 Paramedics arrived on scene and after triaging found that 12 people from the car sustained relatively serious injuries, 3 children all under the age of 5 were removed to hospital by private transport before we arrived on scene.
Emergency personnel worked fervently to stabilise all the seriously wounded before transporting them to nearby hospitals for further medical care.
