Nine people were injured, 5 seriously in a roll-over accident on the N14 near the R55 off ramp in the Centurion area of Pretoria this afternoon. It is believed that the rear wheel of the taxi burst causing it to overturn. The twisted frame of the taxi came to rest in the centre median of the highway.
Netcare 911 and provincial paramedics arrived on scene and found all the wounded lying near the wreckage, five of them sustained serious injuries and 4 others escaped with minor injuries. Paramedics worked ardently to stabilise all the injured before transporting them to an area hospital for further treatment.
