ER24 Paramedics preparing for Air Rescue
Eight people were injured in a collision on the N1, approximately ten kilometres past the Huguenot Tunnel, in the direction of Worcester.
One patient was in a serious condition and was airlifted to hospital by the ER24-Discovery Medicopter. Another seven patients were transported by ambulances to Worcester Medi-Clinic with minor injuries.
The exact details around the collision are unclear at this stage. The collision caused a major delay on the N1 towards Worcester, with bumper to bumper traffic being backed up for around six kilometres.
