A twenty five year old woman, who is four months pregnant, was hit by an unknown vehicle on the corners of Field and Leopold streets in the Durban CBD this morning.
The woman was found by ER24 paramedics to be in severe pain, still lying in the street. Upon examination, she had sustained multiple serious broken bones to her right leg, as well as deep cuts to her face. She was also complaining of severe painful cramps in her stomach.
Paramedics stabilised the patient on the scene, before loading her into the ambulance and transporting her to King Edward Hospital.
Durban Metropolitan Police were on scene to investigate.
