A 66 year old man is in a critical condition after his SUV allegedly hit a water puddle on Hendrick Potgieter. He then aquaplaned, lost control and rolled the vehicle. He came to a hault against a palm tree in the middle island.
He sustained a severe deep laceration around the front of his neck and was bleeding profusely. It is believed that the thick jewelery chain he had around his neck had caused the injury. He was transported in a critical but stable condition to hospital.
