A 13-year old Soweto girl was killed and her classmate was seriously injured after an unlicensed teenage driver knocked the pair down outside their primary school in Moletsane.

Details of how the crash occurred outside the Matubeng primary school on Friday are still unclear at this stage.

Tshepi Moganedi passed away while paramedics were rushing her to hospital shortly after the incident.

Her friend Amogelang Morodi was still in I.C.U on Saturday.

“A case of culpable homicide will be opened at the nearest police station. The child will appear in court either with his parents, or with the person from whom he borrowed the car.” said the Metro Police’s Edna Mamonyane.
