A man was killed when he was struck by a passenger train near Umkomaas, south of Durban, this morning.
What transpired is speculative and will be the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
It is alleged that the man had been standing on the tracks watching fishermen on the shore when he was hot by the train.
The high velocity impact saw the man sustain multi-system injuries and died instantly.
He was declared dead by Paramedics at the scene.
