A man, believed to be forty nine-years-old, was shot and killed near the Place of Safety in Umlazi.
When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man had been shot multiple times and was unfortunately already dead on their arrival.
The exact motive for the shooting was unknown by paramedics but police were interviewing witnesses on the scene and are in the process of investigating the incident.
