This morning’s rain was part of the end result when two bakkies collided head-on, followed by a taxi and another vehicle. The impact caused one of the bakkies carrying the children to flip on to its side. Luckily the canopy of the bakkie remained attached keeping the children from been flung across the road into the path of traffic.
16 Patients were injured mostly young school children and were treated by the various emergency services on scene. This is a reminder to people travelling on wet roads to increase your following distances and decrease your speeds.
