Twelve School Children Injured After Taxi Rolled.

A taxi carrying school children has rolled at the intersection of Old Main and Ottovolk road this afternoon.

ER24 along with EMRS arrived on the scene and found the taxi lying on its roof up against a robot near the intersection. The school children were found seated on the grass verge near the vehicle. All twelve children were assessed by paramedics and where treated for moderate injuries. They were all stabilised on the scene and transported to St Mary’s Hospital for further medical care.

It is believed that the taxi had come down Cowies Hill and tried to turn into Ottovolk but lost control into the corner and rolled. The necessary authorities were on the scene and would be investigating the incident further.
