Road Safety has been recognized as a global health risk. Road Safety authorities across the Globe have joined in the commitment to address road safety as a matter of priority – and South Africa has also added its support to the Global Make Roads Safe Campaign.

The Minister of Transport has set the trend by pledging his signature in support of the MAKE ROADS SAFE CAMPAIGN on Friday 10 September 2010.

The Road Traffic Management Corporation has also joined in this initiative and will intensify efforts to enhance road safety.

To reduce lives on the roads more will be required than signing a Wall of Petition – we will need to search within ourselves for the answers – and every South African road user will have to change his/ her behaviour on the roads!!
