A man was seriously injured when an articulated truck and three cars collided on the N2 south bound carriageway in the vicinity of the M7 Edwin Swales Drive Bridge late last night.
The cause of the collision remains unclear and will be the subject of a South African Police Force investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the truck and wrecked vehicles lying in the centre lane. The vehicles appear to have been struck from the rear. The driver of one of the cars sustained serious injuries and was treated and stabilised at the scene by Netcare911 Paramedics before he was transported by ambulance to the Addington Hospital for the required specialist medical care.
