The Arrive Alive website received an email urging us to create more awareness of motorbike safety. We would like to share this message on the Road Safety Blog:
“To whom it may concern.
Over the past two to three weeks there seems to have been an alarming increase in motorcyclist deaths or severe injury. The majority of these have been reported to have had cars, trucks or pedestrians involved. This is a great concern to many people I know as it should be to the minister of transport and the general public.
In the UK I have seen that they have many television ads and radio ads trying to educate motorists and the public about motorcycles. Do you think it would be possible to somehow arrange an awareness campaign with the likes of the department of transport, think bike, arrive alive, a major motorcycle manufacturer and perhaps other sponsors?
Too many families loose loved one because a motorist says “I didn’t see him”
