An elderly couple are in a serious condition after being attacked in their home in Percy Osborne Road, just after 5am this morning.
ER24 along with other emergency personnel arrived at the residence, to find one patient downstairs in the lounge, while the second patient was found upstairs in the bedroom. Both patients had sustained severe blunt force trauma and needed advanced life support intervention. They were stabilised further on scene before being taken to Life Entabeni Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed the attack could be a result of a robbery but the necessary authorities would be investigating the incident further.
