SA Roadlink has put specific safety measures in place and is confident that their passengers will experience hassle-free journeys during the festive season.

The entire fleet of coaches will be utilised during this period and additional qualified drivers have been employed. All drivers will undergo briefing sessions and breathalyzer tests before embarking on their journey. On long haul routes two drivers are deployed per bus, each have a maximum of 4 hours behind the wheel.

Each and every coach will undergo a stringent before and after trip inspection to ensure the coaches are roadworthy and most of all, safe for passengers. Prior to the festive season all our coaches are going for roadworthy tests.

The SA Roadlink coaches are equipped with a 24-hour tracking system to enable monitoring of vehicles. 4 Road inspectors have been deployed who will be available to assist in event of a mechanical breakdown. SA Roadlink has developed a network of suppliers in each town on route to Durban and Cape Town to assist if need be.

“We are committed to the safety of our passengers and Roadlink has gone to tremendous measures to ensure that we offer our passengers a safe and affordable method to spend the festive season with their loved ones” says Joe Mushwana, Chief Operating Officer from SA Roadlink.
