“We achieved our mission: delivering malaria nets to kids and saving Claude, a very endearing chimp. But at the same time we could have dropped off thousands more malaria nets,” said Sean Staley, brand manager,Gabriel.

“Gabriel strongly believes that with United Against Malaria spearheaded by Kingsley Holgate and Afrika Force, there is a platform to do more of these missions. More of these missions will provide the momentum and be the catalyst to change the course of Africa.”

“The difference we make is real. We can see it. It is a bold statement, but United Against Malaria have built a model that works for Africa, the first of its kind,” he said.

The Gabriel expedition team is back in South Africa. They landed at Waterkloof air base and are all home safely.

The chimpanzeee ‘Claude’ was dropped off at the quarantine centre  in Nelspruit. Here he will spend a few weeks in quarantine, but once out, he will be able to roam freely at the JGI SA Chimp Eden.
