Another success story for Aerocare. Another life saved. The patient was successfully picked up at Sutherland and dropped off at Cape Town for urgent medical attention.
The airstrip at Sutherland is a 1.5 km long dirt airstrip which is in a good condition. Aerocare is one of the few air ambulances that can land on a dirt airstrip which makes them more accessible to the people in the country side.
The patient was brought to the airstrip with a police vehicle (Venture), as Sutherland does not have an ambulance.
