A twenty three-year-old woman is in a serious but stable condition in the Tshepong Hospital in Klerksdorp after she fell from a quad bike on farm road in near Stilfontein in the North West Province this afternoon. The events leading up to the incident remain vague. It is thought that the woman had been negotiating a bend when she struck loose gravel and thereafter overturned, rolling several times.
Netcare911 Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that the woman had sustained lower trauma and was in a serious condition.
She was treated and stabilised at the scene before she was transported by ambulance to the medical facility for the specialist care that she required.
