Special evening for ill boy at U2 Concert

Multiple acts of kindness have contributed to a 14 year old boy being able to have a once in a live time experience at the U2 concert tonight.

The boy named Daniêl became very ill in November 2010. He received medical care in his home town of George before being transferred to the 2 Military hospital in Wynberg, early in December. There he received Medical care from Dr. Davies. Daniêl is slowly recovering from his illness in the ICU at 2Mill hospital and will be undergoing rehab for quite sometime before being able to return home.

After reviewing Daniêl’s medical status and observing his good spirit whilst being hospitalized for so long, Dr Davies started an initiative to get Daniêl out of the hospital for some enjoyment. With various organizations partaking in this act of kindness, Daniêl is going to be able to attend the U2 concert tonight at the Greenpoint Stadium.

At 17:00 this evening Daniêl, Dr Davies and Daniêl’s mother will be taken to the stadium in an ambulance by ER24 paramedics. Once at the venue he will be able to enjoy the concert in supervision of trained medical personnel. After the concert he will be taken back to 2Mill hospital in the ambulance.

ER24 would like to wish Daniêl and his family a great evening.
