Female Passenger Injured In Crash at Galway outside Durban

A female passenger was injured after the car she was travelling in collided into a light pole in Galway road in Galway just outside Durban this morning.

ER24 Discovery Medicopter Support Vehicle was the first on the scene, found the passenger still seated in the passenger seat and in some pain. She was examined and found that she may have injured her neck and her right arm from the impact. The patient was stabilised by the ambulance crew by placing her on a specialised board to help protect her spine from any further injury. She was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The driver who is the husband went with the ambulance staff but did not sustain any injuries from the crash.

It is unclear how the driver crashed his car in to the light pole but it is believed that the glare from the sun as you come around the corner could have played a small factor in the accident.
