Motorcyclist Knocked of Bike in Vanderbijlpark

A man in his 40’s has been critically injured after he was knocked off his bike at the corners of Barrage Road and Westinghouse Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark.

It seems that a woman in a Corsa and the man on his bike crossed the intersection at the same time when the collision occurred. The man was found lying next to his crushed bike, having suffered critical injuries. An off duty nurse was first to arrive at the scene and ER24 paramedics shortly thereafter. The man needed immediate Advanced Life Support treatment and was stabilised on scene before being placed on manual ventilation. He was taken to Vereeniging Medi Clinic where the ER24 Discovery Medicopter collected him for transportation to Milpark Hospital.

The woman driving the Corsa was not injured in the accident and was removed from the scene via private transport.
