Road safety takes PG Glass to inniBOS

PG Glass’s ongoing involvement in the promotion of road safety led South Africa’s largest glass retailer to become one of the enthusiastic newcomers to the inniBOS National Arts Festival in Nelspruit this year.

PG’s Marketing Director, Bernice Bailey, says large numbers of those attending the festival travel long distances to reach it, and the group wish them to travel safely to Nelspruit and back home.

Therefore, PG Glass will do free windscreen “chip” repairs while revellers enjoy the festival.

Bailey says most people underestimate the importance of a windscreen as “life saver” in case of a vehicle accident.

“A chip in the windscreen not only impairs the driver’s vision, it compromises the strength of the windscreen and of the vehicle’s body.”

She says the windscreen normally contributes up to 30% of the vehicle’s strength in case of a collision.

The PG Glass chip repair station is at the main entrance to the mezzanine parking of the I’langa Mall, cnr Flamboyant and Bitterbessie Streets, Nelspruit. Chip repairs will be done from Thursday 30 June to Saturday 2 July between 10:00 and 17:00.

The inniBOS stop-and-hop facilities provide free parking and bus transport to the festival.
