A man in his 40’s has been lucky to come out of an accident with two trucks with no physical injuries.
The accident took place on the N1 between the 14th Avenue and Beyers Naude Drive exits in the direction of Sandton. The exact cause of the incident is not known, but when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene, they saw a maroon VW Jetta, crushed between two construction trucks, where the front and back of the vehicle was extensively damaged and still entangled into both of the trucks.
They immediately checked inside the vehicle for injured patients but were then shown to where the driver, and only occupant of the vehicle was walking around near the wrecks. After checking the man for any injuries, paramedics were surprised that he had very minor abrasions and did not need to to hospital.
The traffic already under strain from the morning rush was even more affected as passersby wanted to catch a glimpse of this interesting accident.
None of the occupants of the trucks were injured.
