Compulsory Warning Triangles now Available from Control Instruments Automotive

A reflective emergency triangle sign for motorists is now compulsory in all cars. This law was enacted in July 2007 that vehicles must carry at least one emergency triangle sign.

The only vehicles excluded from this regulation are ambulances, motorcycles, motor tricycles and motor quadricycles. Goods vehicles, mini buses and buses must also have at least one emergency triangle sign.

Prior to July 2007, only goods vehicles such as trucks, buses and minibuses were required to carry the sign, but now it applies to all drivers for safety reasons. Most motorists are not aware of this law and risk facing a R500 fine.

Control Instruments Automotive have launched an ACSA-MAG branded warning triangle. The group’s premier shock absorber brand Gabriel have run numerous competitions and giveaways for the product at events ranging from the recent Cannonball Run to fitment centre competitions to educate motorists.

The triangles are available from Control Instruments-Automotive at (011) 627-2500
