One man has died after a serious collision on the N3 highway in Pietermaritzburg.
The cause of the collision is still unknown. The man was riding his motorcycle on the highway when he allegedly lost control of the bike before colliding with the centre median. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they could see that the collision was severe as the motorbike was obliterated.
The man, aged 54, had sustained severe injuries to his entire body and was later declared dead at the scene. Local law enforcement authorities who attended the scene will be investigating the incident further.
