On the N2 near the Macassar off ramp in the direction Somerset West, a light motor vehicle left the road and rolled in to the veld this evening.
ER24 and other emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find a Golf lying on its wheels with extensive damage. The driver was found about 10m from the vehicle. The driver who is believed to be in his 40’s had suffered multiple traumatic and fatal injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do to save his life and was declared deceased on scene. Emergency personnel searched the area in case there was a passenger in the car but no one else was found.
The necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
