A taxi carrying 8 commuters home from church lost control on a corner on Mepho Road near to Inanda Dam this afternoon.

ER24, VEMA and EMRS arrived on the scene and found a taxi on its roof and just off the road but facing oncoming traffic. The paramedics assessed the patients that were found outside of the vehicle. They were all treated for suspected neck and back injuries and multiple cuts. They were all stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals in the greater Durban area.

It is believed the driver lost control due to mechanical problems on the taxi as he was coming down the road.
