3 injured in Spaghetti Junction collision

Three people sustained injuries this afternoon following a collision between a truck and a delivery vehicle on the N3 highway under the Spaghetti junction interchange.

The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage but when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they could see that the collision was severe. The delivery vehicle was ripped open and it’s contents had spilled onto the highway.

ER24 paramedics as well as paramedics from Medix identified three occupants from the delivery vehicle in need of medical attention. One male and one female patient received treatment at the scene for minor scrapes and bruises and another female occupant received treatment for suspected back and neck injuries.

All of the patients were later transported to various medical facilities in various ambulances. The driver of the truck sustained no injuries in the collision. Traffic in the area was affected and local law enforcement officials who attended the scene will be investigating the incident further.
