[Vanderbijlpark – 08 March 2012 at 06h30]
A collision at the corners of Faraday and Shakespear Road in Vanderbijlpark involving two light motor vehicles has left one person with moderate injuries this morning.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two vehicles near to the intersection with extensive damage to both vehicles. A female driver of the one car had sustained moderate injuries and had to be extricated from the passenger’s side of the vehicle due to the damage. She was treated for suspected neck and back injuries and possible soft tissue injuries. The patient was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for further medical intervention. No one else was injured in the crash.
The local law enforcement authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
