An elderly man was injured after allegedly being knocked out of his wheelchair in Highlands North this afternoon.
It appears that the 87 year old man was trying to cross 6th Avenue in his motorised wheelchair when a taxi knocked him over. Paramedics found him lying in the road, with bystanders assisting him, and fortunately when they assessed him they found that he had sustained minor injuries only. He was in a stable condition and was taken per ambulance to the Linksfield Hospital for further assessment and care.
No one in the taxi was injured.
