One female has died following a collision on the R560 earlier this morning.
The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage, but it seems as if the passenger vehicle veered out of control before colliding with a truck at speed.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they could see that the collision was severe judging by the amount of damage sustained to the car and the truck. Paramedics found a single female driver, believed to be aged 30, in the passenger vehicle. Unfortunately the lady had sustained various fatal injuries and was later declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck sustained no injuries in the collision. Local law enforcement officials who attended the scene will be investigating the incident further.
