A man in his 30’s was waiting at the intersection of Bekker and Allandale Road this morning in Vorna Valley, Midrand this morning, when he was allegedly knocked down by a vehicle.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene first immediately initiated Advanced Life Support treatment, as the man’s injuries had been extensive and life saving skills were performed. It appeared that he had sustained a critical head injury as well as a possible broken left leg.
While paramedics treated the injured man, the ER24 Discovery Medicopter was called in to rapidly transport the man to hospital where he would receive further necessary medical care.
No other parties were injured in the accident and the police would conduct their necessary investigations into the cause of the incident.
