Car, bus and bakkie collide in Durban road Bellville

Four people sustained various injuries this morning following a collision between a car, a bus and a bakkie in Durban road.

The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage, but the bus had allegedly collided with the rear of the passenger vehicle. The passenger vehicle then collided into the side of a bakkie in the intersection.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they identified a total of four individuals in need of medical attention. The driver of the car received treatment for suspected back and neck injuries.

Another three individuals, two passengers from the bus, and the bus driver also received treatment at the scene for suspected back and neck injuries. All the patients were transported from the scene either by ER24 or ambulances from the Western Cape Provincial Department of Health: Emergency Medical Services.

Local law enforcement officials attended the incident and will be investigating the incident further.
