Four people have sustained various injuries after a collision between two light motor vehicles at the corners of Old Main and Cunningham Road in Northdene this morning.
ER24 from Durban and the ER24 Discovery Medicopter Ground Support Unit arrived on the scene and found two vehicles involved in a collision with extensive damage to both vehicles.
The paramedics assessed the patients and found both drivers had sustained suspected neck and back injuries. The one driver needed to be extricated with the help of the Jaws of Life. The passengers from both vehicles sustained minor injuries. All patients were stabilised on scene and transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
The local authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
