[JOHANNESBURG – 09 APRIL 2012 AT 17H00]
A single vehicle accident on the N12 in the direction of Witbank near to the Sandra Eloff off ramp has left one person dead and another person with serious injuries this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the single vehicle lying on its roof with one occupant believed to be the driver of the car outside of the vehicle. Two more occupants, a woman and a teenager were found inside the vehicle. The driver was treated for serious injuries and needed Advanced Life Support intervention before he was taken to Glynnwood Hospital for further medical care.
The teenager was assessed and found that he had suffered serious and fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene. The mother was treated for minor injuries but would seek further medical tension.
It is unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle but the necessary authorities will investigate the accident further.
