One man sustained some injuries this morning following a incident on the N8 highway approximately 60 kilometers from Kimberley.
The cause of the incident is unclear at this stage, but a truck had allegedly attempted to pass a slow moving tractor when it veered from the road into the veld. The truck then rolled onto its right side.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found that the single driver of the truck had sustained some injuries. Paramedics treated the man at the scene for suspected back and neck injuries before transporting him to Mediclinic Kimberley for further care.
Traffic on the N8 was affected as the recovery of the truck took some time. Local law enforcement officials attended the scene and will be investigating the incident further.
