Two people sustained moderate injuries this evening following a three vehicle collision on the N12 highway near Potchefstroom.
The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage, but when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they identified two male occupants from a light passenger vehicle in need of medical attention. No other occupants for the other two vehicles sustained any injuries.
One of the patients sustained suspected back and neck injuries as well as a broken leg. The other patient sustained suspected back and neck injuries only.
The men received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further medical care. Local law enforcement officials attended the scene and will be investigating the cause of the collision further.
