A 28 year old biker has been killed after crashing his motorbike on North Rand Road in Boksburg.
Sadly, initial assessments by paramedics who arrived first on scene indicated that the man had already died on the scene and nothing more could be done for him due to the extent of his injuries. The bike had been ripped apart after the collision with a lamp post, and it was flung almost 100 meters from where the rider lay.
The cause of the accident is not yet clear but it appears that the biker just suddenly lost control of the bike as no other vehicles had been involved.
The local police would conduct their necessary investigations into the cause.
